Summer Horse Activities Are Offered Memorial Day Weekend Through September
ALL payments are final for ALL horse activities. We do NOT offer refunds on any cancellations.
Trail Rides
The scenic trails of Rocky Mountain National Park filled with mountain flowers, scampering wildlife and gentle flowing streams await you! One or two hours rides along the Colorado River are available and are scheduled eight times daily.
The minimum age for a trail ride at Winding River Resort is 6 years old. Children must be 13 years old to ride without a parent or guardian present.
The weight limit at Winding River Resort is 250 lbs. Winding River Resort does not allow double riders.
Pony Rides
Pleasing youngsters is our claim to fame. Our horses love to pose for pictures and are available anytime between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Pony rides are intended for children ages 2-6.
Family Hay Rides
Bring the whole family for a ride to remember on the musical wagon into the Outback.
Visit the Sarsparilla Saloon for a real taste of the Ol’ West.
Sleigh Rides
Listen to the “swoosh” of the runners and be enchanted by the sparkling snow on a fun or romantic sleigh ride!
Sleigh rides offered from mid-December through mid-January.
Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
